Investigating Techno-Governance

My mission is the following:

I want to stimulate people to be critically and enthousiastically involved in the construction of government and organizations in an Information Age. Government and organizations are social constructions and broad participation is needed to ensure that we'll get the governments and organizations we want and to prevent technological determinism.

My key message is directed at two target groups:

Technolophiles: scientists and practitioners. They tend to find all technology beneficial and they do not see the lmitations and negative side effects of technology. Critical reflections can help them to develop better technologies.

Public administration and organizational scientists and practitioners. They tend to underestimate the impact and significance of technology for government and organizations. Their involvement is needed to construct legitimate technologies.

Cooperations between these two groups are needed to create good public technologies.
